All sessions are conducted via telehealth at this time using a video platform. This means you can do therapy from the comfort of your own home!

phone consultation

Shopping around for the right therapist can be challenging, especially when you're relying on a website, photo or blurb to get a sense of who you're going to be talking to! I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to all new clients to see if this feels like the right fit. In this call, you are welcome to ask any questions you may have, and I will ask some basic questions about what you and what you are looking for.

After the consultation call, you may choose to schedule an appointment or I can provide you with a referral for a treatment provider who might be a better fit to accommodate your needs.

first session

The first session is an opportunity to dive into the main reasons that you are pursuing therapy, gather some background information about you and your previous experience with therapy (including what you liked and what you hated, so that we can utilize more of what you liked and less of what you hated!) and start to set goals for our work together.

weekly sessions

During our weekly sessions, we will use an eclectic variety of therapeutic techniques based on your needs, personality, and sensory preferences. I work from an intersectional feminist and person centered approach, which means that I acknowledge the importance of different pieces of your identity and their impacts and influences on your development and experiences, but also, while I may have questions and insights to challenge and explore with you, I respect you as the authority of your self. We will work in collaboration.

termination

The ultimate goal of therapy is to restore your confidence to move forward on your own. We will assess your readiness to end treatment as we go. Of course, you are always welcome to terminate therapy on your own if it does not feel like the right fit for you at the time, or your circumstances change.
