do you take insurance?
-
+
I accept most insurance plans within the Optum and UnitedHealthcare networks. If you have a different insurance provider and have out of network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Before starting services, please contact your insurance company to confirm that your plan covers therapy with me (under the license of Tricia Kayiatos Smith).
A note about using insurance: insurance companies require a DSM-5 diagnosis in order to process both in and out of network claims. For in network services, they also require a binary sex designation (male or female) that matches the sex listed in their records. Unfortunately, many insurance systems do not currently accommodate nonbinary or "X" sex markers.
If you're planning to use out-of-network benefits, your insurance may reimburse you for some or all of your session costs. If you're unsure what your out-of-network behavioral health benefits include, you can contact your insurance provider for details. what is the cost per session?
-
+
For UnitedHealthcare and Optum clients, your cost per session is determined by your insurance benefits. Depending on your plan, you may need to meet your deductible before insurance begins covering therapy. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your copay, deductible, and other in-network benefits.
My standard session fee is $175 per 50-minute session, with payment due at the end of each session.
EMDR Intensives are offered at $525 per 3-hour block. *Please note that EMDR Intensives are considered out-of-network services and are not covered by insurance.*
Because access to care is important to me, I offer a limited number of sliding-scale appointments for clients experiencing financial hardship who have limited or no out-of-network benefits.
what types of payment do you accept?
-
+
For out of pocket payments and copays, I accept all major credit card and debit cards (including FSA/HSA cards) as well as venmo.
what is your cancellation policy?
-
+
I adhere to the standard 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling notification in order to avoid a full payment for a missed session. I try my best to accommodate rescheduling requests.
